New York Mayor, Bloomberg is trying to force his personal choices on New Yorkers by limiting the size of soft drinks they may buy to 16 ounces. He tries to justify his mandate by claiming it is a needed measure to counteract obesity. In other words it’s “for the public good.” Americans take pride in their freedoms and tout them daily. But, how long will our freedoms last with egotistical politicians trying to make a name for themselves by assaulting personal freedoms in the name of “the public good.” We elect our representatives to protect and preserve our freedoms. Lately though, it seems there is a concerted effort to dismantle them. What do you think?
